TWINT for WooCommerce

Migration to the new integration via mame

Since version 6.0 of the TWINT for WooCommerce plugin, a new integration via server of mame is available. This integration offers enhanced security and improved performance, as the payment process no longer takes place on your own server.

The previous integration via your own server using a TWINT certificate is still available alongside the new integration for now, but it will no longer be supported after February 28, 2026. Shops still using the old integration via their own server and TWINT certificate should therefore migrate to the new integration by the end of February 2026 .

You can find more information on the following page.

What does the new solution cost?

The WooCommerce plugin costs CHF 99.- per year, as before, or CHF 69.30 for subsequent years with immediate renewal (30% discount).

A transaction fee of 0.3% (minimum CHF 0.20) applies. The TWINT transaction fees (typically around 1.3%) remain unchanged.

How can I see which integration I’m using?

Log in to the WordPress admin area of your website and go to “WooCommerce > Settings > TWINT”.

If an API Token and API Webhook Key are entered under the API Settings section (white box), you are already using the new integration.

If a Store UUID is entered instead, you are still using the old integration.

How can I switch to the new integration?

  1. Update the plugin to the latest version (currently 6.1.4). You can do this on the Plugins page in your WordPress backend, or by downloading the latest version from your account at mamedev.ch.
  2. In the TWINT Portal, create a new store of type “ Standard ” with the integration type “PSP” and “mame”.
  3. Start the setup assistant in your WordPress backend under “WooCommerce > Settings > TWINT” and follow the instructions.
